How does voting work?

During the 1st phase, the voting takes place in Discord. The number of votes is based on your Discord role, which, in turn, is translated from what you do in the DAO. The Beekeepers would automatically receive a Beekeeper role depending on their investment’s size. Other Bees will receive governance NFTs, roles, and votes based on their contribution. Holding NFT achievements would increase the amount of votes you have.

Emergence DAO can hold votes on anything related to its activity. Also, every month there’s a special vote to distribute DAO’s Treasury. The Treasury can be spent on:

  • Non-profit funds taking care of the wild bees - remember, the DAO’s mission is to save bees, and therefore the whole world from extinction;

  • Additional rewards for Bees - DAO may issue grants for the most valuable Bees to motivate them to perform even better;

  • Marketing - DAO can spend some funds to spread the word about it;

  • Other - any proposal can be submitted - it’s up to Governance to decide!
