# Governance

The Emergence DAO is governed by the beekeepers, super bees, and other active major participants. 

There is no hierarchy. Instead, decisions are made through symbiotic decentralization in a chaordic (chaos+order) fashion. The DAO emerges, grows, and once it hits a limit, it reshapes to increase complexity and continues to thrive.

But it’s not chaos, there are clear roles to facilitate the DAO.
